what I used to post .flv flash video in GriffinSmithy WordPress

I’ve always been a fan of plugins that allow me to keep control of my own content and are fairly straightforward to use in WordPress. Recently I’ve been working on my family pictures and movies and making ‘master’ cd/dvds for backup/archive purposes. However, it is much more fun to post some of these things on our website so any of our friends and family with Internet can see some goodies….whether they be in the USA or abroad.

I tried out two good plugins wordtube and FLV-embed.I first installed and set-up wordtube and really liked the Options. It did take some time to make sure all the files were put in the right place and video directories pointed the right place. Continue reading ›

Tana is here

DianaeTanaSamiraDSCN2939.JPGJay and Diana welcome their new daughter Tana Samira. She weighed in at 7 pounds and 3.5 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. She was actually born Sept 18th, which makes her 3 weeks old now. Both Mom and baby are doing fine and learning how to coordinate all the sleeping and eating.

I found Plogger and a page about integrating or skinning Plogger into Wordpress.

Jay returns to the USA…what’s next?

I have been back for a week now but it feels like it has been a month since I have been in Albania. I am over the 9-time-zone jet lag finally, but I very much miss Diana (now my fianceé!).

I have been busy compliling the 1500 pictures I’ve taken during my 6 weeks there and preparing a presentation for the church about my experience. Many thanks to Jerry and Sandy Lugbill of Albanian Bible Institute for letting me save my pictures onto a CD with their computer. That saved me probably 10 hours of time in the Internet café for backing up my pictures.

Stay tuned while I do some updating to this website. I’ll be adding the past issues of the Hapu Clinic Newsletters and also editing the albums in the Picture Gallery.
