While in Albania, Diana and Tana went by a meat market where there was a cow tied up outside for slaughter. The cow was mooing a lot and very loudly which upset Tana somewhat. In the video, you see how intense the whole episode was for Tana.
Tana is actually standing in this video. I’ve counted as high as 30 seconds of her standing by herself without help. We think she is going to be walking by the time she is nine months old….which would only be 4 weeks away.
Tana acquired an early competency at spinning things with a flick of her thumb. This video shot March 31, 2007 shows she is such an ‘old-hat’ at it that she readily gets into the game of showing her expertise. She figures her toys out very quickly and she has very good fine motor control with finger and thumb (like picking up mini-’O’s.
In the video, she is ’so good’ that she is nonchalant about spinning the ball…doing it without even looking. She lets out an interesting little ‘eeeeee’ that I don’t know if it meant she was bored or just being verbal.
In Mid-March, I was goofing around with Tana and discovered she laughed and giggled when I imitated a sort of chimp-bouncing. Recently for Mother’s Day, she still laughed at this kind of thing even though I didn’t make the chimp noises.
